Why it seems discounts are applying to items that they shouldn't be?

Why it seems discounts are applying to items that they shouldn’t be? On the Orders page in the Shopify admin, it may appear that a discount applied to products that should not qualify for discounts.

Shopify displays prices with the discount distributed across all items. Discount Mixer only uses qualified items from applied discounts to calculate the discount amount.

Follow these steps to verify that discounts are working as expected:

  1. Add items to the cart from the order that appears to have this issue.
  2. Apply the included discount(s) and take note of the discount amount.
  3. Modify the quantity of unqualified items and reapply the discount(s). The discount amount should not change.
